+ The location in terms of it being on the North Coast. The house itself is good size with loads of potential. The location in terms of it being on the North Coast. The house itself is good size with loads of potential.
- The place was not clean. Most pillows in the rooms were stained and some of the duvets too. We needed to hoover the rooms on arrival- the living room in particular had a lot of crumbs on the floor and furniture. The upstairs shower had a fair amount of mould and grime on the glass door and on the tiles inside- i wouldnt have liked to shower in this. The paint work in the house is brutal. The back door was unlocked on our arrival and could not be locked. There were exposed wires inside and outside the property. The kitchen had a bad smell. The dishwasher was filthy with dishes left inside that smelt damp and dirty like they had been there for a while or washed in dirty water. The floor in the kitchen was slippy and greasy. Some of the blinds were in bad repair and need replaced. Also it is dangerous exiting the property onto the main road as it is a blind spot on to fast moving one way traffic- the mirror is not positioned right to help drivers. When I phoned the property owner to explain some of these observations (unclean beds and dishwasher) she was pretty defensive and dismissive of my concerns. How this property was awarded 4 out of 5 stars from booking.com is unbelievable. The photos dont tell the story whatsoever. How Sykes are advertising this property for renting is a shame on the company. After an hour in the property we decided to head home with 2 very disappointed children who had there holidays ruined by this shambles of a setup! The place was not clean.
