+ One of the best holiday stays we’ve ever had—a truly exceptional place. The house is beautiful, tastefully furnished and incredibly well equipped. Nothing feels overlooked. The larger apartment in particular has an exceptionally high standard of Ausstattung, even including a smart TV with Ambilight. The kitchens are fantastic and a genuine pleasure to cook in, with a dishwasher in the larger apartment and dishwasher tablets provided. The bathrooms are newly fitted and include bidets, and washing machines are available too. There’s also a thoughtful starter supply of essentials, including some coffee and enough to put together a small breakfast if you can’t get to the shops until the next morning. Being able to step into the garden to pick fresh herbs made cooking even better, along with delicious oranges and the freshest mandarins we’ve ever tasted. It’s also an absolutely perfect place for children, with toys and plenty of animals: donkeys, chickens, a horse and two especially affectionate cats. But the real star is Amy, the wonderful resident dog and unofficial manager of the property. She welcomes you and immediately rolls over for a belly rub. She’s honestly one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met. We stayed in two different apartments, and both were immaculate—spotlessly clean, from the stove to the fridge. Even in October, it was lovely and warm, with heating and a fireplace to keep things cosy. We felt completely at home and wished we could have stayed much longer. The owners are genuinely wonderful: warm, kind, authentic and incredibly attentive. You can tell how much care they put into the property and their guests. A huge thank-you to Gianluca and his lovely father for taking such good care of us. Thanks to them, we truly felt at home in their house. The setting is idyllic, too. There’s a beautiful town nearby with excellent pizza, and stunning beaches just 10–15 minutes away that were almost deserted in October. We’ll definitely be back. + What an amazing stay at Angelo's, the owners are very friendly and attentive. The property was very clean. The owner Angelo gave us everything we asked for and treated us with fresh fruits, vegetables from the garden and also gave us wine made by him from his own grapes.

+ A lovely place in the countryside, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Ideal for a quiet stay and rest. The hosts, Angelo and Gianluca, were very friendly and helpful. I would love to return again sometime. One of the best places I have stayed in.

+ Oh well.....where do we start? If we could give it a 20 we would give it a 20. A calm, relaxed and homely countryside appartment. A perfect point to visit Matera and other historic places. Superbly set up by Angelo and his family and a real joy with all his lovely animals around. We felt right at home with his hospitality and his incredibly warm personality. We were treated not like customers but like family. Angelo is an amazing man. Our stay there gives us no choice.....we will return from New Zealand! 😄 Millle grazie Angelo. Ci vediamo!
