- Stairs to the top bedroom were very steep. Soundproofing wasn't great and there was constant traffic on the road immediately in front of the house. + Very quirky, cosy cottage. Hosts provided clear, concise instructions for checking in and we were lucky enough to be able to park right outside the property. We had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay including a selection of tea and coffee left in the cupboard. We were able to buy the other essentials from the local co-op which is within a stones throw from the property. Although we didn't go in, there is a lovely coffee shop and fabulous looking Indian restaurant within walking distance. The cottage doesn't have a TV which we knew about but to be honest we were looking forward to a couple of days of relaxation so didn't miss it. + It is unique and quirky little house. Comfy beds, kitchen well equipped. Loved the back door opening onto the churchyard. Really good communication from the host.
− If I am honest the quirky decor just went a bit too far in the lounge. Even with all the instructions it was a bit tricky to find

+ Good communication with the owner. Location is good as it's close to the Co-op, which stocks most things required for self-catering. Decor is very funky and colourful. Free toiletries are very nice.
− *The stairs to the top bedroom are very steep, slippery and narrow, so may benefit from being carpeted. *The small window in this bedroom could also do with a curtain/blind, as the light comes through early in the morning. *Having to take our own bath towels. *It would be useful to have some local information in the house, and some simple instructions on how to use the induction hob and oven.
