+ This place is around 25 minutes outside of Annecy. A beautiful building in a beautiful location with a beautiful view. We sat on our balcony overlooking the mountains surrounding Annecy listening to happy French locals enjoying the food (which smelt incredible) drinks and each other's company. The ladies who greeted us were lovely and spoke excellent English. We had beers and wine before retiring to our room and the prices are as you would expect in the area... perfectly priced. The room had more than we needed, cooker, fridge, proper beer glasses, kettle, 2 comfortable beds, shower, towels & idilic little stairs from the lower living area to the bedrooms. We had just finished a 10 day holiday and this was our last stop before heading back to the ferry at Calais and it was a perfect end to our perfect trip. + The whole facility is like an alpine refuge - all in heavy pine timbers - and is seated high up overlooking fields and the distant alps. The 25 minute drive up from Annecy takes you through delicious alpine meadows far from the tourist infested medieval town. The room, all furnished in wood, with simple cabin-like features was comfortable and quiet. A cow and donkey were grazing on the field just above us. The breakfast was buffet style, served very casually with nice selections. There was an automatic coffee machine offering any kind of coffee or chocolate drink one wanted - and it was high quality. The best part was that you could take your breakfast out onto a covered terrace with an absolutely stunning view. If you're looking for sophisticated luxury, this is not for you, but if you appreciate stunning scenery in a rural setting with simple accommodations it is ideal. They have a dinner menu which we did not have time to try.
