+ A cosy, spacious place with a historic, rural-mansion feel. Great communication via WhatsApp with several recommendations from the owner. You feel it's a family business that takes great care of guests. I think it provides very good value for money and is one of the best options in the town. I liked that the place, which has its own winery, offers its wines upon arrival in the room's fridge for possible buying. I'd consider offering a basic one as a complimentary gift, which could encourage guests to buy the tasting in their cellars (which is also highly recommended), though :) A cosy, spacious place with a historic, rural-mansion feel. - It's not that I didn't like it, but the comment here is more of a suggestion: our room had no outdoor bench. There was lovely weather, and our neighbours enjoyed sitting outside in the evening as they had one. I'd also consider adding the mattress cover so the combined single beds could act as a full double bed in the family room. I also enjoy human touch and contact, so would appreciate it if there is someone from the staff visible at the premises whom you could chat with. + A tastefully furnished apartment, with all the cooking facilities that are really needed. Close to the renovated Synagogue. A good supermarket is some 300 m away, with everything required for a short stay. (Use Google Translate!) Wine lodges not only next door but all around, in an unspoiled village, a step back in time. The apartment is only some 80 m from the local "turn-around" bus stop ("Mád - forduló"), but be aware that this is a full mile from the train station, while another bus stop is on the main road some 900 m away. No taxi exists this side of Tokaj.... Our hosts were finally most helpful, in that the bus timetable changed at the close of the summer season (31/10/24), and only extensive enquiry finally proved that no bus would ever arrive to take us to the station: we appreciated being offered a lift on a Sunday morning. - If you are not driving but coming by train, be aware that the bus stop to Mád lies not outside Szerencs train station but some 700 m away (turn right out of the station and left at the junction, around the park, looking for a yellow bus stop. + Great hosts, great wine tasting, amazing atmosphere. Nice place for a weekend. The bike tour around the vineyards made an amazing impression on us. I recommend it to everyone

+ Comfy beds in a silent room in central location close to the bus stop. Private Parking lot in the garden. Breakfast possible in Restaurant in 150.m.
− Impersonal service. Very minimal hospitality. No welcome mail, nobody showed up to welcome us. Key was in safe. Kitchen was equiped but there was no coffe or sugar or .a tea filter provided. Shower door cannot be closed and floor get wet.

+ The place offers a truly countryside experience in Hungary. The room is decorated like a village house, comfortable and with all modern anemities. Has a good location in the centre of Mad village. Good place for exploring Tokaji region. Beautiful courtyard with parking space. The Barta winery is next door so wine tastings can be arranged.
