+ Brilliant fun experience to stay on this lovely boat. The harbour is lovely and just a short walk to the beach was beautiful and into Cabourg which we loved. The host provided helpful and detailed instructions for finding the boat and picking up the key. The boat was surprisingly well equipped for such a small place and the kids loved the experience and little touches of the captain's hat. Parking was easy right next to the harbour. - It is fairly simple and very small for 4 of us but we completely expected that and that is reflected in the price. I hadn't realised we couldn't use the bathroom onboard the boat until after I'd booked but the port toilets and showers were very close. It would have been good to have 2 sets of keys as you need the same key to get into the bathrooms as to get onto the jetty so we all had to go together everytime. There wasn't any bed linen on the beds although this was listed as being included but we did find some in the cupboards although I'm not sure it was intended for us! + The location on the marina is good, with free nearby parking and clean, well-maintained shower and toilet facilities close to the pontoon.
− Communication was poor. Messages sent via Booking.com went unanswered and Booking.com had to intervene. We were not contacted until a few hours before we left for the ferry. This caused considerable stress as we were travelling from England and other accommodation in the area was fully booked. When contact was made, there was no real acknowledgement of the communication problems or apology for the concern caused. We were surprised to learn that key collection was several km away. After an 11 hour journey with a child, this was inconvenient and frustrating. On arrival, the boat did not reflect the photos. The outside area was very grubby and in need of a thorough clean, and the interior was dated and tired. The second bedroom was much smaller than expected and should be represented more clearly in the listing. The beds were not made up. Bedding had simply been left for us to fit ourselves, which was disappointing given the price paid. Cleanliness was not great. We found rotten lemons inside the kettle, making it unusable, and some of the kitchen items and cleaning equipment did not appear particularly clean. These are small details, but they have a big impact on guests' confidence in overall hygiene standards. Although the pontoon itself is secure, the boat door felt flimsy and not secure so we were uncomfortable leaving valuables on board. In addition, only one key was provided for the boat, pontoon and facilities. This proved very inconvenient, as family members could not come and go independently. Checkout arrangements were disappointing. We were given very little information beyond the checkout time and were then expected either to wait around or make an additional journey to return the key. Fortunately a compromise was eventually found, but it unnecessarily disrupted our plans. The boat has potential because of its location, but it urgently needs updating, better check in/out systems and better communication. Cabourg itself was lovely though.

− Le bateau n’est pas très grand. On se bouscule un peu quand on est 4. Toilettes et douche inutilisables car on reste à quai. Mais les toilettes sur le ponton sont très propres ainsi que la douche.
