− No washing machine, nowhere to dry hand washing. Wifi attrocious. No garden area at all. Property poorly maintained and seemingly being run down for sale. Two children had to sleep in a windowless upstairs barn room which was far too hot and miserable. Shower plumbing malfunctioning, incredibly noisy water system and several light fittings were not working. Not a good property for multi-generational families where individuals have different sleep patterns.

+ The location is amazing, quiet and peaceful. The chalet was adequately appointed and the shower was really nice however a grab rail wouldn't have gone amiss for getting in and out of the bath to access the shower.
− The swimming pool, whilst advertised as open daily, was not open at all which really disappointed the children and was one of the big reasons for booking here over other options. On further investigation it was discovered that it would only open in "high season from 1st July with sufficient numbers of guests booking to stay". Given we have a number of neurodivergent guests amongst our group, 4 out of 5 of us, it put a huge dampener on our stay as it had been eagerly looked forward to after a long day of travel and attending the Lyme Regis fossil festival (which was well attended so properties and hotels were highly sought after in and around the area so notably a seasonal high for visitors to the area). When we arrived in our chalet the refrigerator had been left off and the door closed which 1) made it smell and 2) meant that it took quite some time to chill sufficiently to adequately keep our food cool. Given the booking had been made in advance and we were expected, I would have thought this detail would have been addressed and the fridge turned on at some point earlier in the day. The check in was fairly simple but check out expectations were a bit much given the cost of the stay. The bins needed emptying into the various required recycling bins and landfill, which in essence isn't an issue. The bins inside the chalet for storing the waste however were pretty grim and clearly not cleaned and maintained. Cleanliness and upkeep overall was adequate although it could have been considerably better. There were cobwebs in higher areas, much of the glassware, crockery and cutlery was not properly clean with food particles and smears all over them. Then there is the maintenance which seemed somewhat slapdash. The curtain pole at the front door was wonky and the curtain did not fully cover the door. There was a large window that overlooked the stairs which had no privacy as no curtain was in place and the railing on the landing was a little loose.

+ It was lovely place to stay and use as a base camp for a few days on the Dorset coast. The place was clean and comfortable and my kids really enjoyed staying there. Good value for money. Great little pub a few minutes walk away for a nice local pint and a sunday roast. Didnt meat the owner but Rich who manages the property was really helpful and a nice guy.
− Nothing I can think of.
