+ This stay couldn't have been more exceptional. The communication, the location, the reception upon arrival, the comfort of the property, the value for money - but more than anything the incredible food and Leah's uncanny attention to detail and spoiling her guests. So many homemade and home-baked touches, notes, and the best Shepherd's Pie and continental breakfast imaginable. The easiest 10/10 I could possible give! + The accommodation is a converted farm barn, completed to a very high standard. There is nothing to fault. Very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom with big roomy shower. Lounge/Kitchen with good facilities. The location is very good for visiting lots of interesting venues or just walking the hills. The host Leah is a lovely friendly lady who went 'above & beyond' to make sure we had the perfect stay, with lots of advice & suggestions on things to do & see.
− There was nothing we didn't like.

+ We had a fabulous stay at Blackshaw Gap. The owners Leah and Johnny couldn't have been more accommodating, they were very communicative beforehand and welcomed us on our arrival, and had thought of everything (even some milk ready in the fridge for our arrival cup of tea, and some very tasty cupcakes!) The cottage is beautifully put-together in a lovely quiet location in the countryside with views across farmland, and we were encouraged to wander wherever we liked across the fields to enjoy the peace and quiet. Everything was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay very much. We'll definitely be back again soon! One thing to note - from a previous review it looks like someone was put off from their trip by the mention of needing to let the owners know in advance if they were arriving in a low-slung sports car. Just to reassure any future visitors - there is in fact space for a low-clearance car to park, that the owners will let you know about when you contact them, so don't panic!
− Nothing bad to say at all, we loved it!

+ This cottage is beautiful. Cozy and perfect in every way. The couch was comfy to sit on and we had a really good sleep in the huge bed. Lovely cupcakes that were left for us to try - they were delicious 😋. Thoughtful touches this like and the fresh milk and apple juice really made you feel like you were at home. The owners were onsite and were lovely and friendly to talk to. From the top of the road, we turned right and walked downhill to the Robin Hood pub in Rainow, took us about half an hour going - a bit longer coming back as it was uphill! The wifi was great and needed as we had no signal on our phones at all. Quiet, peaceful and would definitely recommend.
− Not an issue for us, but the lack of live TV (we used iplayer and Netflix) may be a problem for some.
