+ Peaceful Stay Near Saturnia termal water Great Value I booked this room a couple of weeks in advance as a surprise visit for a dear friend I hadn’t seen in nearly 20 years, who lives in Acquapendente. The location was perfect, not only for the reunion but also because it’s within easy reach of beautiful spots like the Saturnia thermal waters. The stay overall was very pleasant and the value for money was excellent. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable—ideal after a long day exploring the area. The only small thing I’d mention is the lack of a fridge in the room. Since we stayed during the summer, it would have been helpful to keep our water bottles cool overnight. But honestly, for the price and the experience, that’s a minor point. Would happily stay here again when visiting the area. Grazie! - Unfortunately, the accommodation itself was a major disappointment for us. There was a lot of dust in the apartment, mold in the bathroom, and we even found someone else’s underwear in the wardrobe. We were also not accommodated in the main building, but in a separate building that, both in appearance and atmosphere, felt more like workers’ accommodation. The behavior of some of the other guests matched that impression as well, for example, loud music was played from 6 a.m. until around 7 a.m., when they left. Based on the listing, we expected the swimming pool to be right next to the accommodation. In reality, it was about 150 meters away by another building, and on some days we could not access it at all. In the end, we preferred swimming in Lake Bolsena on our way back from day trips, but after returning there was not even a proper place to dry our swimsuits. Some basic practical things were also missing; for example, there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom, and the apartment lacked everyday items such as drinking glasses. It is a shame, because the location is very nice and the owner seems genuinely friendly, but in our opinion the condition and equipment of the accommodation did not match what we expected based on the listing. + On the positive side, the host allowed us to check in one hour later (although we asked for two, I understand it was still a kind gesture). The location and surroundings are also a big plus.
− The room was definitely not the one shown in the pictures. First of all, there was a terrible smell and dirt everywhere. Cobwebs and spiders made it look like nobody had entered the room for a long time. Additionally, despite other rooms being available, we were placed next to a group of very loud men who partied late into the night. There was also no TV, even though it was listed.
