+ Very central to the small town of Burntisland; big, spacious room; a quiet place, though in an old building I could hear someone walking around the next room simply due to the springy floorboards. - There was not an option for breakfast - fine, I knew that beforehand. And tea / coffee facilities were available - also fine. But as there was so little available in the town centre in the morning, maybe a small fridge in the room would have let me keep some breakfast overnight..... Not a huge issue, but would have helped. + The location and price are both excellent. The room was large and airy, the building's decor was basic but the main facilities were there (clean toilet and basin, working shower, kettle, sockets, etc.). The building is clearly quite old (more than 200 years) and was once a pretty grand house, now converted.
− This is not a hotel in the sense of providing any kind of meal service - which isn't a criticism, but you should be aware as the opportunities for eating out in Burntisland are limited. (That said, there's a very good burger place next door!) The staff were nice enough, but there are no services on offer beside being given your key. That suited me, but may not suit everyone.
