+ If you want tranquility, this place has it in spades. It is off the beaten track and wonderfully rustic. The owners were attentive, welcoming and friendly. We were invited to sit in the garden at sunset and watch the emerging stars and Milky Way - zero light pollution and learn a little of the local wildlife. The bedroom and en-suite facilities were comfortable. There was a charge of €10 for our dog. Breakfast had plenty to choose from at €6 each.
− Nothing. Though I feel it important to point out that this is not a hotel. We hadn’t realised that dinner was on a pre-order basis, which we hadn’t done. The nearest restaurants are in Trujillo about 12km away and we’d already been on the road all day. However, I think Francisco took pity on us and his mother rustled us up a very welcome and satisfying meal. For which we were most grateful.

+ Good location for birdwatching, we had a large room with comfortable bed and great views. Host was enthusiastic about birds and kindly got out his telescope for us to look through from the house. Loved all the storks nesting on nearby building.
− Dinner was expensive (25 euros each) for what we had (soup, tortilla with some lettuce and tomato and a small basic flan). Would advise guests to eat elsewhere but otherwise good place to stay.

+ Aussergewöhnlich schöne Lage in der weiten Steppe mit phänomenalen Sonnenauf- und Untergängen. Grosses Zimmer mit schönem Ausblick. Gutes regionales Nachtessen, auf Bestellung. Unsere 2 E-MTB durften wir in den Wintergarten stellen.
− Das Frühstück könnte reichhaltiger sein. Wir haben vor allem mehr Früchte erwartet.
