+ We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by Carmela, the owner. The room was very spacious, and we were lucky to also have a huge terrace with views of the property and the surrounding hills, with Matera as the backdrop. Needless to say that the room was spotless, and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and Carmela even held the sweets for us as we took a tour to the nearby crypt with 8th century wall paintings (€11/person). As we booked dinner in advance, there were two options: order a-la-cart, or let Carmela decide on the menu. We took the 2nd option and enjoyed every bite. + If I could, I would give Casal Dragone an 11 out of 10! Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, welcoming, and full of charm. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, were the owners. They are incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Casal Dragone to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

+ We stayed 4 nights and had a great time. The property is situated on a hill among fields and has a great view, which we enjoyed every day from the big terrace upstairs. You can even walk to the gorge or to the St. Giuliano reservoir, if you want to. The room was very clean and comfortable. Carmela took care of us, providing delicious breakfast every day with local products and self made cakes (very very good!!!) It is quiet and peaceful, a perfect rural experience to relax and unwind.

− Nothing to complain about. Just the road to the accommodation is not good … be careful while driving . Hopefully will be reconstructed soon 😊
