- Being told on arrival that we had to pay an extra 15 euros for sheets. Paying 15 euros for breakfast consisting of stale bread . Being shown how to vacuum up. Having the owner sharing the lounge and lying on settee watching sport. No privacy. Scruffy looking house . Sleeping in the owners sons bedroom. Would never go back. + The host was sweet and friendly. The house location was good and quiet surroundings
− the room we got had a bad smell of mold. We only got information about bedding 6 hours before arrival and had to borrow it for a fee of 15 euros. the bedding was just 2 sheets (not duvet cover) and it smelled of mold and sweat. towels smelled of earth. we hope the host will fix the hygiene and ventilation. in the future.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITHIN THE TEXT TO ADVISE EVERYONE THAT "BEDDING AND TOWELS ARE AN OPTIONAL EXTRA" AND YOU ONLY BECOME AWARE OF THIS WHEN YOU HAVE MADE THE BOOKING!!!!!! YOU ACTUALLY RECEIVE AN EMAIL 24 HOURS LATER FROM THE HOST VIA BOOKING.COM (BC)TO ADVISE OF AN ADDITIONAL €15 CHARGE IF YOU FAIL TO BRING YOUR OWN. IN FACT IF YOU VIEW THE PHOTOS THERE ARE PHOTOS OF AT LEAST TWO BEDROOMS WITH "BEDDING" AND A SHOWER ROOM WITH AT LEAST 10 TOWELS! BC INITIALLY REFERRED MY CANCELLATION DUE TO THIS UNDISCLOSED COST ADDITION BACK TO THE HOST WHO REFUSED TO CANCEL THE BOOKING EVEN WHEN IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT NOWHERE IN THE DESCRIPTON BOTH WRITTEN OR VISUAL INFORMED POTENTIAL CLIENTS. BC WERE EMAILED VIA THEIR "CUSTOMER SERVICE" FUNCTION TO INTERVENE MORE THAN 12 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF OUR INTENDED STAY. ALL YOU GET BACK FROM BC IS THAT THEY HOPE TO ANSWER WITHIN 48 HOURS. WHEN I PHONED, I WAS ON HOLD FOR 16 MINUTES ONLY TO BE CUT OFF WHEN REPEATING MY BOOKING NUMBER! BOOKING.COM WERE EMAILED A FURTHER 1/2 DOZEN TIMES INCLUDING PHOTOS FROM THEIR WEBSITE AND THE FULL WRITTEN DESCRIPTION FROM THEIR WEBSITE. THEY WERE ASKED TO PROVIDE DETAIL OF WHY THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION ON THE LACK OF TOWELS AND BEDDING ON THEIR SITE AND WHY THEIR PHOTOS INCLUDED THESE ITEMS WITHIN THE "DESCRIPTION" OF THE PROPERTY? MY FINAL EMAIL TO BC WAS 48 HOURS BEFORE I REQUIRED ACCOMODATION - I ONCE AGAIN INFORMED THEM THAT AS THEY HADN'T RESPONDED IN ANY MANNER TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE HAVING 1st BEING MADE AWARE 11 DAYS PREVIOUSLY, THAT AS I WAS NOT PREPARED TO ADD OPTIONS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED (pillows, pillowcases as needed, fitted sheets, duvet, duvet cover and a couple of towels) TO MY ALREADY FULL CAR, THAT I WOULD MAKE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THAT NIGHT AND TO REFUND IN FULL. BC RESPONDED BY ASKING FOR A REVIEW! CHECK BOOKING.COM ON TRUSTPILOT.
