About this property
Nestled in 150 acres of parkland, this exclusive spa hotel offers over 80 indulgent treatments by world-class therapists. Champneys Henlow has a secluded location in rural Bedfordshire, just outside Letchworth.
The adults-only resort features the famous Champneys Spa, with a grand swimming pool, spa pools and steam rooms. Guests can enjoy bespoke therapies, such as the sumptuous Champneys wax bath.
Bedrooms have luxury bathrooms with signature Champneys toiletries. All rooms have a flat-screen TV/DVD, and some have scenic views of the River Hiz, which runs through the tranquil grounds.
The restaurant serves a modern British menu and fine wines. Beverages and healthy snacks can be enjoyed on the garden terrace or in the elegant lounges, where free Wi-Fi access is available.
Champneys is set in a historical country house between Bedford and Luton, and Cambridge is a 40-minute drive. There is free on-site parking, and central London is just an hours’ drive away.

House rules
Please note that guests have free access to the leisure facilities, including the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and Gym, and can book and pay for classes, from 17:00 until 10:00. Use of the facilities outside of these hours will be subject to an extra charge of GBP £70.00 per person, per day.
The rate includes Bed & Breakfast and is charged per night.
Check-in is available from 17:00.
Guests have complimentary access to the gym.
Spa and leisure facilities are not included in the room rate and are subject to availability at check-in.
Spa access is available for an additional charge of £35 per person, per session.
Morning spa sessions are available until 11:00.
Evening spa sessions are available from 17:00 until closing.
Guests wishing to remain on site and use the facilities between 10:00 and 17:00 are subject to an additional £70 per person, per day facility charge.
Dress code
Sportswear is permitted during the day.
Smart casual clothing is required for dinner.
Workwear, including work boots, high-visibility clothing and hard hats, is not permitted anywhere at the resort, including Reception.
Guests are asked to wear appropriate clothing when using the health spa, such as fitness wear or a robe with suitable spa footwear.
Guests who do not comply with the resort dress code may be asked to change before accessing the relevant areas. If the dress code cannot be met, access to the resort or its facilities may be refused.
The package quoted is a nightly Bed & Breakfast rate, with an arrival time of 5pm.
Please note that guests have free access to the gym, Spa and leisure access is not included in the rate.
Please note that the spa is subject to availability upon check in. It is available for an additional charge of £35 per person per session, with morning access until 10:00 and evening access from 17:00 to closing.
Guests are invited to stay on site daily between the hours of 10am and 5pm where a £70 per person per day facility charge is applied DRESS CODE: Sportswear is permitted throughout the day. However, at dinner guests are asked to wear smart casual clothing.
No work wear of any kind, including work boots, High Vis jackets or hard hats will be permitted in the resort at any point, including on arrival at Reception.
Any person not adhering to the Champneys dress code will be politely asked to change or leave resort.
Champneys asks all guests to be dressed appropriately for the health spa. This includes smart casual clothing, a robe and flop flops or fitness wear.
Should guests not be dressed appropriately, they may be asked to change or leave.
