+ We booked this accommodation for a one-night stay on the way back to Cherbourg. We wanted somewhere in a quiet location quite near the coast but in the countryside. We found the ideal place! Our host, Sylvain, welcomed us warmly on our arrival and showed us the bedroom, the adjoining toilet and shower room, and other facilities. The house itself is a traditional Norman-style building that had been renovated to a very high standard, was spotlessly clean and had a very well tended garden to look out on (and perhaps sit in during warmer months). The bedroom was very well equipped: it was quite a surprise to find dedicated USB charging cables in the room, as well as a high-spec espresso machine, with coffee pods, as well as top of the range kettle. The house was full of quirky, retro objects that had been restored and, in some cases, given a new life. The breakfast was copious and included bread, cheese, yoghurt, jam, fresh fruit and croissants. The coffee was excellent too. Check-in and check-out times were very generous: the whole package was excellent value for money. We can highly recommend Chez Stephanie et Sylvain to other travellers and would very happily stay there again ourselves. + Breakfast contains everything you can wish for and serving a wonderful coffee. It is being served at the kitchen island indoor or weather permitting, in the absolute great garden. Bathroom amenities above average. Service is offered in detail like a charging cable is ready for use and a socket with 4 plugs, for our 2 mobiles and 2 laptops. Provides bottled water. Except some birds, it is a quiet place. Sylvain is a very energetic and attentive host.
