+ It was super spacious -- a real luxury. The shower is great. All details have been thought out to make a great stay. It is a building from 1751 that has been very responsibly rehabilitated to meet modern comfort standards. We would stay here if we are in the area again. The host is very helpful and very interested that you have a great stay. The Cavendish Five Bells Pub just around the corner on the Green has upscale food trucks serving great food usually 5-8 pm. It is very popular so I would recommend going no later than 6pm so that your choice isn't sold out. We had great Turkish food. You can eat on picnic tables or take it to your place if the weather isn't great or you just want quiet privacy. It is a great way to get easy, great food, wine/beer and not drive! They might have a list of providers on Facebook. There is a list providers for the next several days. The prices are good.

+ The overall refurbishment of this property is of a very high standard, Jason the Host was extremely friendly and helpful, the cottage is beautiful with everything you needed for a stay, we absolutely loved staying here, Cavendish is a gorgeous village! We hope to be back before too long.

+ We stayed here for the weekend while attending a wedding nearby and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. It’s the perfect mix of countryside charm and modern comfort. Most of our weekend was spent simply relaxing together. We curled up on the incredibly comfy sofas watching TV, I spent ages relaxing in the beautiful roll top bath reading my book, and my husband particularly loved the huge walk in shower. The water pressure was fantastic, and the fluffy robes and slippers were such an incredible touch. It all felt wonderfully luxurious. The kitchen is beautiful, incredibly spacious and has absolutely everything you could need. We loved cooking breakfast together each morning and chatting over a coffee at the kitchen island before heading out for the day. In fact, the whole cottage is so well equipped that we never found ourselves wishing it had anything else. We also walked to The Five Bells, only about five minutes away, where there happened to be a Latin food truck. The food was absolutely delicious! The bed was enormous. We have a super king at home and somehow this felt even bigger. It was also one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Jason was a fantastic host. He met us on arrival, showed us around the cottage and explained where everything was. He’d also left fresh milk, a bottle of Prosecco and plenty of bottled water, which was such a thoughtful touch. We stayed during the 35°C heatwave and expected to be unbearably hot, but the downstairs stayed surprisingly cool. Jason had also set up an air conditioning unit upstairs, so the bedroom remained lovely and cool all weekend, which made such a difference. The village itself is beautiful. Unfortunately the pub next door was closed for renovations, but The Five Bells was only a short walk away.
− There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Everything had clearly been thought through, the cottage was exceptionally well equipped, and we genuinely couldn’t fault our stay.
