+ The Chateau is a private home full of character. When I arrived there was horse on the lawn and the owner was feeding it fruit out of his hand. The rooms are not like a hotel, you stay as a guest, but they are clean and charming. Be aware that supper is not served, but there are restaurants nearby and a list is provided. I had driven from the Pyrenees, was hot and tired and so the outdoor swimming pool was a joy. I asked for breakfast at 7 as I had an early start, and it was served on the terrace opverlooking the pool. The home made fig jam a particular treat. Only afterwards did I notice that "breakfast is seved from 7.30" and the owner had made no mention if this. I wish I could have stayed for longer. The Chateau is a private home full of character. + This is a beautiful chateau in a quiet location surrounded by vineyards & fields. It’s very much a family home. The huge bedroom had antique furniture & a very comfy bed with lovely antique bed linen. The shower functioned well & the towels were thick.
− This has the potential to be a truly excellent stay but I feel the owner, though very nice, could use some help. It’s too much for one host. The bedroom we were in was in need of a good dusting. I found it odd that the wardrobe & drawers weren’t able to be opened so our clothes had to be put over chair backs. Breakfast was typical French style but odd not to have yoghurts. Fruit was available in a fruit bowl.

+ Amazing place, authentic and historic, hits the bullseye if you want a real privately owned Chateau stay. Jean Paul is a lovely man who has opened his home to guests. Don't expect an ultra modern refurbished interior, this is a time warp to savour. Fab, thank you.
