+ We booked last minute and decided to try a Natura Habitat tent. A walk down memory lane for my husband who last stayed here as a child, nearly 30 years ago. It was great for what it was, and for the price. We had a shower and toilet inside. Couldn’t have done it if we didn’t have those facilities. There is no air con, which we knew. 1 fan was provided. Tent was very clean, beds & pillows were comfortable and bed linen was included. We paid extra to hire towels, which were immaculate and available at check in. Kitchen facilities are basic, but we made it work. I had emailed staff to confirm about the towels etc and they were lovely and helpful. They were able to accommodate us getting in early - approx 12pm. Tents are surprisingly secure and have a sliding door and a padlock. Large decking outside with a picnic bench. There is also a table and chairs set inside, in case the weather isn’t on your side. The pools are great, the lifeguards are vigilant and you feel like they are working hard to keep everyone safe. Good job guys!! The entertainment is good and they try hard to build an atmosphere and get the crowd going. The town of Estartit is nice enough to walk round and has plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. Some have closed down, but that is outwith the resort’s control. The dusty road leading from the site used to have a few bars on it, but apparently they have closed down in recent years. I would suggest sticking to the main road now to go into the town. - Tried to hire another fan for the other bedroom, as advertised on a poster on the fridge, but reception told us that it was last year’s poster and none were available. We had to buy one and leave it. A kettle is needed in the tent - we have stayed in a few places like this through Eurocamp and a kettle is always provided. Much, much more shade is needed round the pools. In this day of sun danger awareness, there are only a very limited number of shaded areas. You can see in my photo. Which leads me to the sun lounger situation… Pool opens at 9am, you cannot buy a sun lounger until 10am. Which means you need to stand outside from 8am to 9am to get inside. Then throw a towel down to claim an area, then queue up again to buy sun loungers, under the fixed parasols. You are not allowed to take your own parasol/seats in. Which we already knew from the visitors Facebook page. Sun loungers are €4 each. Apparently this site has always charged this. I suppose it’s better than the €20 for 2 + a parasol, we paid in Zaton in Croatia, last year - but at last you had your own parasol in Zaton. Really wish these camps would all stop charging for sun loungers - full stop. We have already paid a lot of money to sit around your pools! + We really liked the place. The camping was fun and adventurous. The kids had a blast. It was very close to one of our favorite beaches. Easy to get in and out. Prompt checkin and check out. Facilities were great and very cool pools! Food was also good.
− Not as great for resting on the weekend as it has tons of activities and entertainment over the weekend. The inflatable mattresses in the camping tent provided were not great but okay.
