+ This was the perfect Hotel for us. It is approximately 30min away from Lake Como by car. The rooms are very clean. We were worried since some reviews said they didn't have air-conditioning but although around the Lake the temperatures were unbearably high at the time, it was much cooler up where the Hotel was and we never had an issue about the temperature. + Price / quality: this place is unbeatable! Spacious, warm rooms with comfortable beds; nice shower and -for this price- a great breakfast. We arrived late, but check-in went very smooth. The road to go there -coming from Switzerland- is a little strenuous, especially after dark, but worth the drive if you are looking for a little gem off the beaten track.
− We stayed in the annex, where the reception and the breakfast room is. Sound does carry quite far; especially through the wooden floors of the first floor, but it is part of the charm.

+ Clean & comfortable room with lovely refurbished bathroom. Close to a local hotel with a little beer garden for a late afternoon drink. We walked about 2 km down the road to Pizzeria La Tenda Rosso & enjoyed a delicious meal & when we asked for a taxi they kindly offered for one of their staff to drive us back up the hill. We happily paid him for the journey. We had a memorable experience. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful & buffet style. It consisted of juices, tea, coffee, croissants, breads, ham, cheese, warm hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc….
