Darwin's Townhouse provides accommodation a 5-minute walk from the centre of Shewsbury. Shrewsbury Train Station is a 12-minute walk away.
There are 19 bedrooms across the townhouse, located throughout it's Main House and Garden Rooms.
Darwin's Townhouse is located close to the River Severn with its fine riverside walks, yet is within a 6-minute walk of Shrewsbury Cathedral.
Nearby are many excellent restaurants and eating houses of all kinds. Birmingham Airport is 55.7 miles away.
As Darwin's Townhouse is a beautiful Grade II* listed Georgian building, the main house retains many of its original architectural features. Please note that all bedrooms within the main house are accessed via stairs to the first and second floors, and we do not have a lift.
If you or a member of your party has any mobility concerns, we kindly ask that you take this into consideration when booking. We do have a limited number of ground floor rooms available, so please contact us before your stay and we will do our very best to accommodate your requirements, subject to availability.

House rules
Parking is available at a public car park, (St Julian's Friars SY1 1XL) 50 metres from the hotel. Available for £10 all day, £5 all day Sunday and bank holidays and free between 18:00 – 08:00.
NCP Car Park (SY1 1XJ) is also available 200 metres away from hotel. Another public car park (Abbey Foregate SY2 6AH) is available 5 minutes walk away from hotel for £4 all day, free Sunday and bank holidays and free between 18:00 - 08:00 everyday.
