About this property
Built in the 12th century, the Commanderie de Ballan is a “château hotel” located in the middle of an area of several hectares 15 minutes from Tours. It is an ideal holiday resort for discovering the castles of the Loire.
In a magnificent green setting, you can stay in the castle where the comfortable rooms decorated in a traditional and luxurious style will remind you of those of the most emblematic castles in the region. Our houses and lodges, one of which has a private swimming pool, will also perfectly accommodate your weekends and holidays with family or friends. Finally, our duplexes in the former stables, all equipped with a kitchenette and each with a private terrace, are perfect for enjoying a completely independent stay in a relaxing setting.
A stay at the Commanderie is an invitation to disconnect: a Nordic bath is at your disposal in our forest.
Our team will also be happy to offer you a wide range of services: packed lunch (breakfast, brunch, picnic, boards, etc.), massages, yoga classes, chef at home, bike rental organization of tastings local wines or all your excursions.
The estate is equipped with free and secure parking (car and bicycle).

• Please inform Domaine de la Commanderie de Ballan in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
• Piscine #1 is closed from Sun 01 Nov 2026 until Wed 31 Mar 2027
• A damage deposit of €200 is required. The host charges this 7 days before arrival. That's about $224. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property.
