+ The property is charming. There is nearly zero light pollution so it made star-gazing very dreamy during the meteor shower. The three beds were comfortable. It's nicely decorated. It was very quiet and calm. There were a lot of towels provided, which was a plus. The owner is just next door and was practical, but he left us alone. - The announcement said there was a sofa bed, but it was just a regular scandinavian couch, so my teenaged son had to share a bed with me, which was unfortunate bc I'd chosen the place specifically for the 4 beds. There are only 3. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was only hand soap in the kitchen. We bought food for the oven but it's just a combination microwave and there were no instructions on how to cook with it so we couldn't eat half the food we brought. Despite the heatwave, no fans were on site. Luckily we had brought some, as it was a furnace inside. The stairs going upstairs are secured with ropes so they were a little wobbly going up and down. If you aren't steady on your feet or if you have small children, I wouldn't recommend this. The shower has a pretty flimsy curtain and water easily splashes onto the floor so you're best using as a hand-held shower head, not on the support. There is a really narrow path to get to the parking for the gite we stayed in, and even our tiny vw polo had a hard time fitting, so if you have a larger car, be aware.
