+ We stayed at this hotel for one night and had dinner, breakfast and lunch at the restaurant. We also visited the museum. -Very high quality materials across the property. Both in the rooms, in the dining area and the castle itself. Genuinely not something you see at this price point. Materials quality itself is the same as a five star hotel. -The standard rooms are a bit small, but perfectly adequate. Generally quiet but sound isolation to the corridor and also between the floors is mediocre. Bed is comfortable, design of the rooms is fun, and gives a boutique hotel feel. Rooms lack a TV which is a good choice by the operators. People complaining about the lack of TV in the rooms of a castle guesthouse need to rethink their life decisions and habits. -The park is beautiful but dead. It could be made more inviting if it contained elements that draw people to them. For instance, lie flat beds for stargazing, or a game for kids to find certain hidden treasures, or a pool. When we visited, the park lighting was turned off as an energy saving measure, which might have further contributed to its deserted nature. -Solid food quality for the price. Dinner was excellent and lunch menu was cheap and decent quality. Portions generous. Included breakfast was acceptable, but not great. Simple drinking water only available upon request for some reason. -No efficient system in place for letting cars in and out of the property. -The settlement around the castle is in terrible shape, so walking around in it is not exactly a joy. -Service quality on the property is not always perfect. It is good for the most part but some servers can be impatient, for instance when we asked water bottles to be filled. They are clearly understaffed though so this is understood. -Prices for accommodation and food very low for the quality offered, most likely a reflection of the property’s remoteness and non-profit operator. + Dog friendly. Very new facility. Food, coffee, cake are very good. Very nice place to learn about the history of Tisza family. We did not expect a new free tennis court inside, a nice playground as well.

+ Very beautiful example of a modern hotel tailored within the old architecture. The whole complex, with the gardens and the palace were incredibly renovated and the hotel part was clean, functional and tasteful. The restaurant served us delicious local food. All facilities brand new.
