+ Lovely large living room with comfortable furniture and a lovely wood burner. Kitchen has the basics that you need. Outside garden is good with a section especially for dogs. Great parking. - Bed was extremely firm and bedding was polyester! Heating is regulated by the main house which was only put on for a very short while on a few days. Due to it being a wet and chilly week, this wasn’t great but using the wood burner of an evening made a big difference. Bathroom heated towel rail only works on the main heating, electric controls did not work so towels would not dry. Bed was extremely firm and bedding was polyester! + It was a lovely setting Lovely lady that owns the property Any issues were immediately dealt with by the manager and then the owner
− Unfortunately it was not a great layout You go immediately into the door from outside into a small bedroom No room to put any of your stuff We had to leave it all in cases in lounge We had our dog and difficult to wipe her paws before going through the bedroom, just no space as you immediately go through external door into bedroom Very tight then going into a small narrow kitchen The kitchen facilities were less than minimal 2 sauce pans 2 frying pans One bowl That was it One toaster and a microwave and air fryer Also a 2 ring table top plug in stove Really felt worried about using it as no window in kitchen Very narrow work top and easily could of gotten knocked off Especially if children The place is OK if for one or 2 nights ,no longer though The bathroom is the size of a cupboard With a sink over the top of the loo acting as the cistern The bath is really really deep Plastic flimsy steps are there but it's very high to step in and out of Due to my disabilities I couldn't manage Plus when you get out of the bath no floor space, so you have to leave door open and put bath mat on kitchen floor As the sink in bathroom was over the loo I couldn't have even a wash For 3 nights I had strip washes in kitchen Not good as none of this was in description Ie if mobility issues it's not suitable We were meant to stay 4 nights, yet I couldn't take staying for a 4th So we left loosing one nights payment It's ashame as its a lovely location Lovely owner and manager etc Yet I feel if say the manager stated say 2 nights there it would be good so she can get the feel of what it's like for guests That would help As so much of it just doesn't work If you stay and are out all day, then go out to eat in the evening then it could work Yet being there for a few hours each evening and trying to prepare food was almost a no go Unfortunately due to my health I can't manage say a day out then out later So the property we stay in literally...
