+ The owner was friendly and obviously used to communicating with different languages (via live translate) so that went well. The room was perfect - big, comfy, well equipped, great bathroom. It really felt like home. There are just three rooms in the main building and you do hear the other guests a little but they were respectful. The kitchen is excellent and had everything you might need, except maybe an oven. The whole place was absolutely spotless - it felt almost like everything was new. The location is perfect, on a quiet side street 5 minutes from the centre and a 15 minute walk to the rail station. Payment by card was fine (this worried me at first because the payment isn't handled by booking.com and some private places don't like to accept cards). There is an extra tourist tax (750 HUF) per person per night to pay. Booking.com should make this clearer - it's not the fault of the owner. - Please note that I had a very good stay and that piece of information is meant only if you are noise-sensitive: you can hear the other guests in their rooms and in the common area/kitchen. Guests is the two other rooms during my stay were considerate and the earplugs solved the rest easily :-) And there's not much that the landlord can do about it anyway. + Quiet and pleasant location near the town centre. About 15 minutes walk from the railway station. The house itself is well laid out, and the owner explained everything clearly.
− Some overspill of sound from other rooms. If the house was fully booked, the communal kitchen area could get crowded.

+ Our family room was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed. The host was very helpful, even let us to leave our car parked in his garden while we visited the cave (walking distance). If we need to stay in the area again, we will definitely come back. Great value for the money!
