+ The location was excellent, secluded but 4 minutes away from the airport. The house itself was cosy, but there were a few maintenance issues. The garden was great and the host was very responsive. - there was an electrical fault with the sockets that tripped the fuse a few times, the blinds in the bathroom couldn't open, and there was a smell of cigarette smoke. There was also a brown stain on one of the bath towels. The host messaged very late when we were already on the way, to ask that we phone them 30 minutes before arrival, which we couldn't, and we had to wait outside until they sent us the access code for the key box, which took about 5 minutes. We would have appreciated getting the code a bit earlier before we arrived, so that we wouldn't have to wait outside. The parking space is very awkward and difficult to get in or out even with a small car. + Very very close to the airport for an early flight and had everything we needed in the kitchen for a short stay.
− There were no “sofa beds” in the living room as described. Just a normal couch and armchair. A short person could sleep on the couch but it did not fold out into a bed. Also we were advised to call 30 minutes prior to arrival and then at arrival to get the keys but when we arrived we were just given the code to a key box anyway. Given the traffic and trying to estimate arrival time, it would have been easier to just have been given the code by message.

+ We chose Gogarstone Cottage to be near the airport for our departure. It is an old cottage that has been renovated. The house is quite quirky but fun. It is not at all fancy but it was clean and sufficiently appointed. The beds are small but very comfortable. It was chilly but space heaters were provided and they easily did the trick.
