+ The decoration was lovely and created such a lovely space to stay. Along with the location, we felt central to be able to travel and explore Normandy whilst having a rural spot to retreat to in the evenings if we wanted

+ A perfect getaway. We loved the gated entrance and the garden area leading to the courtyard. The courtyard proved to be a perfect sun trap, while the general layout made it feel very secluded despite being next to a road. Chez Bien Sol was very comfortable and perfect for our needs. The well equipped kitchen, had everything we needed for our one week stay. The bed was very comfortable and the shower an unexpected treat - not the usual low power affair, you might expect when away from home, but a powerful spray and an instant wake-up! The location certainly offers an excellent base for those wishing to explore the wider Normandy area but, more locally, you shouldn’t leave without a visit to FABRIQUE-MOI un Bonbon in Argences.

+ For us, the location couldn't have been better as we had family who live 3 km down the road. We had done a week in Amsterdam, a week in Paris, and ended our adventure here. It was by far the best place we stayed in our entire vacation. I loved being able to sit outside in the morning enjoying my coffee espressos while looking out into the courtyard. It really was like something out of a hallmark movie... which is very very very good if you're not familiar with hallmark movies. I can guarantee I will recommend to other family members to stay here when the visit Caen too. Well appointed apartment... towels, linens, cleaning gear, etc. Everything is new with updated appliances, fixtures, flooring, etc. We stayed at a few other airbnbs around mostly the USA... this place is our favorite.
− Couldn't interpret the icons on the washer/dryer. Ran a load of laundry and then unable to get the dryer function to work. Not familiar with european circuit breakers. Breakers were off when we arrived and fortunately we were with a local and he turned the breakers on so we could have power in refrigerator, etc. But the main thing we didn't like is that we were so busy (Normandy beaches, castle, walking around Caen) that we didn't give ourselves a chance to just chill out, relax, and enjoy this fantastic place.
