+ On approach we could not help being impressed with a lovely building and a particularly wonderful venue. Set adjacent with the Isis section of the River Thames made it not only a great place to stay (the Thames pathway is only metres away and wonderful to walk, run or cycle) but perfect for walking into the centre of Oxford, which took us around only 10 minutes. At reception Zoe could not have been more helpful: she was able to upgrade our room and also very kindly took the time to find us a room with a bath. Zoe also took care to make sure that we were happy and well-informed of matters concerning the hotel, the timetables and other information concerning our stay as well as recommendations and trips into and around the city. The room was full of character, well positioned and overlooking Folly bridge. It was clean and tidy and very cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee provided, included in the cost of the stay. Breakfast was fantastic! On approach we could not help being impressed with a lovely building and a particularly wonderful venue. - We enjoyed a great stay, but if we are asked to nit-pick then the following may be constructively useful, whilst in no way affecting our overall experience: The extraction fan in the bathroom was not working and the click-clack mechanism in the bath was tempremental, in the sense that it didn't always work as it should. The evening meal was a little disappointing albeit functional: my fish and chips was precisely that, with a small bowl of mushy peas and a small bowl of tartare sauce; should I expect more? Well for the price, yes and there are many ways to make it look and be more substantial. + Exceptional location, facilities, and staff. Well appointed room and nice restaurant on site. Our stay included breakfast which included continental choices as well as hot items. The eggs Benedict was my favorite. The staff especially Natalia and Zoe were professional, cheerful and kind. This location was perfect because it was within walking distance of all the important sites and restaurants.
− Not a thing!

+ Excellent location right on the river. It would be lovely in the summer with outside seating area. Unfortunately our stay was cold and wet but we still enjoyed the hotel and quality of food. Very good breakfast and extremely comfortable and quiet room.
− Nothing.
