About this property

Originally built in 1850, Heath Cottage is a fine Victorian building situated 3 miles of the M1 and M62 motorways networks.

Leeds Bradford Airport can be reached in 40 minutes by car and Wakefield Inter City Train Station is just 10 minutes away from Heath Cottage Hotel & Restaurant.

The Hotels Restaurant is temporarily closed, we are hoping to reopen as soon as possible. We would like to apologise in advance for any disappointment this may lead too. We can recommend places to dine out locally if you should so wish.

The rooms are individually decorated and have en suite facilities. Each includes a desk and tea/coffee making facilities. There is air-conditioning in public areas. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are available to all guests.

+ The staff were lovely and so helpful and friendly, very easy check in and out, the hotel is so beautiful the furniture is so chic and vintage it has a lovely warm feel not just like a generic hotel where every room looks the same and boring office type furniture, this place has old looking furniture with character. - The room and bed were huge, which was amazing however the TV was very small and on the other side of the room. For a room that size a bigger TV is definitely needed or it needs moved closer to the bed as sitting in bed watching TV we could hardly see it, also for a big double room 1 very small chair was not really enough, obviously its a double for 2 people so there should be at least 2 chairs for sitting in front of TV, there was space for a small sofa at the bottom of the bed that wouldhave fixed the TV problem. + The room was a good size, the sofa and the bed were both very comfortable and cosy. Tea and coffee facilities were provided as well as some breakfast items, which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The car park had ample spaces and easy to park in.
− The bathroom wasn't clean, had to clean the towel rail and bath before we used them. The TV in the room was very small, we ended up borrowing one from my partners parents house so we could relax in the room during the evenings and mornings. Our room was also at the front of the hotel which was very noisy due to the road. Unfortunately none of the milk or breakfast items were dairy free, we did ask but were advised vegan option was not available. Also the bar didn't seem to be open at all during our 3 night weekend stay.
