+ We had a wonderful stay at Arenas El Rocío! From the moment we arrived, the staff were pleasant, welcoming, and very accommodating. Rocío gave us a quick tour and explained everything we needed to know, which made settling in very easy. The whole place has a unique Wild West / cowboy-town atmosphere. At first, I honestly thought the dirt roads around town were the result of inefficient local governance. 😂 But then I discovered the real reason: they’re intentionally kept that way for the horses! Suddenly, the dirt roads made perfect sense—and I felt like I had accidentally checked into a Western movie. Our accommodation had everything we needed, including two balconies, a small fridge, microwave access, and excellent air conditioning. A particularly nice touch was that the staff had the AC running before we arrived, and they kept things comfortable during the night. After a hot day, that was absolutely appreciated! - The only downside… If I had to point out one thing, it would be the dust. There was quite a bit of dust underneath the bed, and the curtains were dusty as well. But, honestly, I’m blaming the dirt roads again! With horses, movement, and all that dry ground around the town, I can understand how dust can find its way everywhere. 😄 Overall All in all, we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was unique, the staff were wonderful, the amenities were more than sufficient, and the whole stay felt like a little adventure. + A fabulous location, close to everything we needed. Bed very comfortable. Room was nicely decorated and there was a huge comfortable drawing room and inner court yard available to use. Staff were cheerful and friendly. A decent typical Spanish breakfast was served. Would definitely go back.
− The weather - it poured with rain, though we still loved it!
