+ This is a small (3 rooms), very clean and mostly comfortable place to stay for a visit to the Monumento Natural de Los Barruecos and/or the Museo Vostell Malpartida, an interesting art museum on the site of an old wool-washing facility. There is a lot of history in this area! The hostal has comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and a good heating/cooling system. The restaurant downstairs has good coffee and very good, inexpensive breakfasts. The churrería down the street (Bar JG) has excellent churros. This is a small (3 rooms), very clean and mostly comfortable place to stay for a visit to the Monumento Natural de Lo...
- Two areas of discomfort were the pillows -- traditional Spanish shared pillows that stretch all the way across the bed -- and the huge decorative wooden yoke over the bed (in room 1) with pieces sticking out that were appropriate for hanging clothes. This item should be on a wall for hanging coats, not behind a bed where it's easy to hit your head on it. We tried taking the yoke off the wall, revealing two even sharper metal hooks that were used to mount it. Also, there was no way to keep food cold. Booking.com did not list a refrigerator among the facilities, but the property's website did state that the rooms have minibars. They did not, so the website must be out of date.
