+ This was our second stay at this hotel. The first time was perfect. The second time, the hotel itself was perfect too. A fabulous view from the suite window, an excellent location right in the heart of a bustling city. The breakfast is sure to satisfy even the fussiest of guests. The car park is a bit of a walk away but is provided – this is more down to the location in the pedestrianised city centre than an inconvenience – it’s a mere two-minute walk along the city’s main street. - We have to be honest about this. The first time we went, we didn’t experience any problems at the restaurant. In the evening, after a walk, we popped in for a glass of the local, superb wine and a coffee. With a view. This time we wanted to do the same – unfortunately, the waiter (the only surly person in the hotel) asked us to leave, saying, ‘This isn’t a bar, it’s a restaurant’. It didn’t help to point out that we were hotel guests, nor did the card we’d been given at reception. The way he behaved and spoke really upset us, all the more so because his behaviour attracted ‘public attention’ from other tables. Not all the tables were taken; roughly half were free. We weren’t pushing our way in; we simply wanted to sit at the table right on the edge outside – a conflict that, in my view, was entirely unnecessary. + This hotel is amazing, We stayed in the beautiful suite which was a great size and very comfy with two bathrooms and perfect air con. The balconies were a great viewpoint for the lake along the street. Great central location and lovely setting by the harbour. Huge selection of continental breakfast options in the morning super friendly staff! Alexandra helped to check us in and was on hand via whatsapp to check our flight and everything was okay! Brillaint hotel, would love to come back.
− The only downside is the parking due to the pedestrian area but Alexandra kept us right. This is in no way the hotels issue but something to bare in mind! Parking was a short walk away and a little pricey but for the location we did not mind.
