+ So, I went on this solo trip to celebrate my 24th birthday and as soon as I arrived I felt as though I was adopted by this big and beautiful family. I have never felt so welcomed and attended to in my life. The food was incredible, the chefs were hilarious, I only regret not getting the head Chefs name so I can give credit where credit is due. If you are thinking of what to have for dinner I HIGHLY recommend the Rigatoni a la Carbonara, I had it both nights I was there. Thank you to Susanna and Angels for checking in on me and making me feel extra special this weekend. And like they said, I will be back for my 25th next year and perhaps sooner with friends and family. I am truly grateful and happy to have had such an amazing calm stay. - I wish i could have stayed longer! Also, this was my fault, but just make sure you read the hours for meals it's pasted on the inside of the elevator also they will probably tell you as well. And if you come around Autumn, I think it's the best time to come, but don't forget to pack warm clothes. Room is heated and so is the whole accommodation, but just for when you are walking around town. All logical things, that I failed to think about beforehand. It didn't stop me from having an amazing trip though. I wish i could have stayed longer! Also, this was my fault, but just make sure you read the hours for meals it's past...

+ An Absolutely Wonderful Stay at Hostal Estrella – A Hidden Gem in Rupit! What an incredible find! Our stay at Hostal Estrella was one of the highlights of our trip through Spain. Nestled in the charming medieval village of Rupit, this beautiful hotel is every bit as special as its surroundings. The hotel is lovingly run by a wonderful husband-and-wife team who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The wife graciously moved us into a larger room when she realized we were traveling with quite a bit of luggage. Such a thoughtful gesture and so appreciated! Her husband is the chef, and the food was absolutely delicious! Their son comes in to help serve dinner, making the experience feel like we were guests in a family home rather than simply staying at a hotel. There is something truly special about a family working together and taking such pride in what they do. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and charm, and Rupit is an enchanting village that feels like stepping back in time. We have stayed in many wonderful places during our travels, but Hostal Estrella stands out for its genuine hospitality, exceptional food, and personal touches. It was an experience we will always remember. I cannot recommend Hostal Estrella highly enough! If your travels take you anywhere near Rupit, do yourself a favor and stay here. You won't regret it! + It's been fantastic! We arrived a bit after the lunch, so the kitchen was closed. However, after asking if there is still anything to eat they re-opened kitchen and allowed us to choose anything from the menu. The chef recommended some local Catalan cuisine, and the food tasted just like home. Besides that, the stuff helped quite a lot navigating the city, trails, and when we came back from the trail run, suggested we check out a touch later so we have some time to recuperate. Seriously, the place is really great!
− Nothing really, but at the entrance we noticed some AC control which was turned off and we were unable to turn it on. Not that it bothered us much, but if I have to pick something that would be it.

+ Great location. Very clean. Cool building. Great staff. The included breakfast was above average. We ate at the restaurant which was also great.
− The room could use a small fan.
