Hotel La Tonkine ex Olympia
About this property
With Beausoleil as its anchor and Monaco straight ahead, Hôtel La Tonkine sets the tone for an easy, lively, beautifully located stay. A 3-star boutique hotel with 33 rooms and a suite, it is made for those who have a taste for carefully chosen places. Accessible, practical and full of energy, Hôtel La Tonkine lets guests enjoy the vitality of the city and the softness of the Riviera. Here, with a light step, a business meeting is just as easy to reach as a breath of fresh air in the sun, a romantic getaway or a few days with the family.
At Hôtel La Tonkine, the rooms promise nights full of ease and freshness. Some embrace the charm of a bow window, others let the breeze drift in from a small balcony; the suite lends itself to family stays with effortless grace. Under soft lighting, soothing materials and ever-present comfort create a haven of rest. Poetic touches bring to life the refined modernity designed by artistic director Valéry Depont. A breeze through the foliage, a joyful energy in the air — everything here accompanies light, good-humoured days
Right in Beausoleil, facing Monaco, Hôtel La Tonkine embodies the spirit of a 3-star boutique hotel that is both well-positioned and genuinely distinctive. Its Belle Époque façade, contemporary interiors and easy comfort make it a place of real character — simple to love and to live in. Because here, warm hospitality and neighbourhood spirit come together with sincerity.
There was a time when Beausoleil had a nickname: the Tonkin. That was the name given to this cosmopolitan corner of the city, clinging to the hillside above Monaco. Popular and colourful, people came from far away to live close together, in a lively density of neighbours and mixed accents. Hôtel La Tonkine pays homage to this joyful vibrato of the neighbourhood: its name resonates with a panache that is both exuberant and modest, which has so gracefully run through the spirit of Beausoleil for over a century.
