+ Quirky room but had everything you need plus a terrace!. Fabulous views from the hotel towards the Pyrenees. Super restaurant (very popular worth reserving table for dinner). Breakfast nice but basic French / Basque, for the money could be a bit more. Nice staff. Dog friendly. Parking OK. NB Problem with GPS for the address, we'd never have found it without a kind local who drove there so we could follow! Just put the village centre into Tom Tom and it will get you there (without using the street name, which took us 5km away!!) Quirky room but had everything you need plus a terrace!. - This is less of a hotel and more a local (busy) pub with rooms above. Thus, expect noise levels downstairs and outside to be quite high (this was a Tuesday night). It all went quiet at midnight however so no huge complaint but useful to know, if you are stopping here on a journey and want an early night. Also the room windows all face the street which, although this is not a big town, was quite busy with traffic and (perhaps a one off) was filled with the noise of a council worker and his leaf blower at 7.30 in the morning (clearly aggrieved that he was up at that ungodly hour and no-one else was!) Not welcome when you got to sleep at 12.30. Clearly, this is not the hotel's fault but maybe they could have a word with the Marie? The view from the veranda outside the rear of the rooms is spectacular but not a great place to relax as the bar/restaurant extractor appears to exit the roof here so this lovely space if filled with cooking smells. The stairs and communal areas were all just a bit run down, untidy and uncared for. So sadly, although the room was comfortable and staff were nice, too many things that make it a non returner for us. This is less of a hotel and more a local (busy) pub with rooms above. + l'hôtel est très bien situé entre mer et montage... et le village a gardé son authenticité entre Cambo les bains et Espelette. En plus, le restaurant est excellent. ambiance cool
