+ A very well situated cottage with very good bus and train connections. Parking permit appreciated. The cottage is well presented and generously equipped. It was very clean and the linen crisp and towels soft. Bed very comfortable. Plentiful electrical sockets by bed. Good information package and local magazines up to date. Plentiful supply of hot water. The garden is small but well planned and great for sitting out if the weather is suitable. A selection of games is provided. Dogs welcome for an additional charge of £35/week or part thereof. There is a pub opposite serving food and a small supermarket further up the high road. - The shower over the bath requires negotiation of a high sided bath with no grips, it is hazardous. The stairs are steep. The dining room table has stools rather than chairs. There is parking 150 metres away but unloading a car outside the house is not possible. The management company is overly bureaucratic and 12 e-mails were received about the stay. The most concerning being the issuing of assess information after the notified arrival time despite requests for details before arrival. I suspect it's a new AI management system. + Kitchen utensils etc were good
− Noise in front rooms. We knew already it was a busy street through the village but it was rather annoying in the evening.

+ It was dog friendly, great to have the car parking permit and beds are super comfy.
− It isn’t that we didn’t like the property just a few issues that were not worth complaining about. Garden was not great! Needed cleaning and grape vines in desperate need for a cut. Dirty mop and brush by the back door for all to see and table had something spilt on. The outside looked unkempt. Inside was mostly fine but finishingwas not great in the living room or the kitchen, stairs are to be expected but please sort out the woodwork on the wall coming down! Some missing and coat hook needs to fitted properly. we could not watch normal tv had to watch Netflix etc and itv x and iplayer. Cleaning was not great but as a cleaner I spot things that others wouldn’t. Please check your mirrors and TV from different angles! Too much product has been left on and someone has even played noughts and crosses on the tv screen. (Not me) overall I would stay again but only if the price reflected the issues. Thankyou we had a great time in the Isle of Wight.
