+ This is a very nice property, well designed and nicely decorated. We were made very welcome with a bottle of sparkly and a box of biscuits. The kitchen was a really nice size and it was easy to prepare food for a group of 6 people. There was plenty of room for people to mingle or go their own way. + We had an amazing long weekend at this unique cottage. It was much bigger than we thought it would be and easily accommodated 4 adults and 3 children. We brought our dog and the garden was completely secure so he could run around. The trains weren’t too frequent at all and really weren’t a disturbance.

+ location for Burghley event, novelty of train crossing, great kitchen, great beds, comfortable fir group of 7.
− price was probably inflated for once a year event, but really expensive compared to comparable properties. Booking was unduly complicated, very unclear respective of 'extra cleaning bond' but was not an issue in the end. We did not mind the trains, but if noise is an issue for you, keep looking... The stairs to bedrooms were a real challenge for my 90 yo inlaw.
