+ In view what I am going to write below, let me state that almost all equipment (stove, table, closets, chairs, sink) were of good quality, almost new and working. Pots and pans were like new but a few more of them to have would be better (like cutting boards, sharp knives, pan covers fitting the pans, etc.) In view what I am going to write below, let me state that almost all equipment (stove, table, closets, chairs, sink) ...
- First impression: like going into a dark cave. The lights brighten as they warm up, but they are still too dark. We would never take that place if we knew what we are getting into. Fridge too small, no working space to prepare meals. Once the bed was unfolded (it took us 30 minutes to figure out how to do it - nobody to ask for help) the room became very small. Before reserving (with no cancellation option) we did not know that the owner was physically absent. We would never accept the place in such a situation but it was not possible to cancel - my card was charged within 10 minutes. Only after the reservation was done, we could drag out from the owner more details (distance and the climbing between the room and the parking; home number we had to request). In the communication with the owner we specifically stated that we are seniors, have a lot of luggage, cannot walk up the streets or stairs. The response was that the parking is only few steps away from the room. The link provided a map which was useless (no scale to judge the distance). The room was so unpleasant that we tried to stay in as little as possible. We know that we should not comment the price paid. But, two previous weeks we have stayed in two places provided by Booking.com. The prices were virtually the same as for La Casetta. What a difference: the entire home (2 bedrooms) in the first week, a small but perfect 2-bedroom apartment in the second. In the second case the owner provided us with the information concerning the number of stairs and their lighting. He indicated that he would understand if we choose to cancel. It seems that La Casetta owner wants to catch the customer unaware what to expect and to lock the deal without the possibility of cancellation. We are both 82, one of us is visually impaired, has a pacemaker and artificial heart valves. Usually, we do not get trapped into deal we cannot cancel after learning details. + La struttura è posizionata in un piccolo paesino vicino castel di Sangro per noi è stata perfetta per spostarci al centro per assistere al ritiro del Napoli. La casa è piccolina ma per noi non è stato un problema anzi é molto piacevole. Il posto auto è facile da trovare poiché a pochi metri è presente una piazza dove si può parcheggiare liberamente.
