La Casona del Pastor is a magnificent property steeped in history, effortlessly blending centuries of charm with exceptionally clean, modern, comfortable, and tranquil bedrooms. The stunning, lush garden offers a profoundly peaceful sanctuary to unwind. The breakfast is an absolute triumph. Every morning brought a beautifully prepared feast—with the gorgeous, perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful chorizo standing out as a phenomenal daily highlight. Nestled in an enchanting, quiet village, the location is a short, lovely stroll to a picturesque park and the municipal swimming pool, and just a brief drive to wonderful scenic escapes. The surrounding countryside boasts magnificent walks that are absolutely paradise for butterfly spotting. Waking up each morning to watch the swifts fly overhead and hearing the donkeys bray in the distance brought a profound sense of peace and connection to the countryside. The stay was made truly unforgettable by several exceptional highlights. Jon is a beautiful, welcoming soul whose extraordinary generosity and heartfelt kindness made the entire experience feel like home. Jon was incredibly helpful throughout, providing highly accurate and useful information that made exploring the area seamless. Joining a lively party in the hotel’s atmospheric bar as his personal guest to watch Spain play France in the World Cup was a spectacular highlight; the energy was pure electricity, complemented by a sensational spread of artisanal cheeses, premium cured meats, and sublime local wines. It was also impossible not to fall completely in love with Loco and Gim. These two friendly, hilarious dogs add an incredibly warm and joyful soul to the property.
