+ The place is beautiful, the gardens are incredible and the buildings have so much charm and character. The furniture in the rooms fits perfectly with the surroundings and you really feel like you're in a castle. The pool was perfect in the heat and we noticed that there were a lot of toys for kids which seemed much appreciated by the children who were staying there. Plenty of seats around the pool meant that we were always comfortable.The breakfast was lovely, very simple and light but served outside in the sun it felt luxurious. The owners were lovely and helpful and I do not understand the bad reviews because the price was very attractive. The same price as a soul less chain hotel where you'd have no access to a pool or such a beautiful setting. - The cleanliness of this place wasn't really to my standards. The beds were clean and the sheets and towels fresh but we had the impression that the rooms aren't cleaned very thoroughly otherwise, there was a little bit of rubbish on the floor in the room when we arrived. The communal spaces were actually quite dirty, we didn't want to use the kitchen which was a shame because having a kitchen is a great idea. Same for the communal bathroom, which was less of an issue because we just used our room. The cleanliness of this place wasn't really to my standards. + We were travelling back from the South of France, and this was a great place to stop over. Near Paris, but not in a busy area, so it was a welcome and restful stay. We enjoyed the pool, the excellent breakfast, and the idea of staying in an old tower.
− Our accomodation was in a tower, the shower and bathroom are on the top floor, which is not easily reachable. The main bed on the first floor is a fold-out couch which is long past its prime, and was not great to sleep on.

+ Very nice, atmospheric location, ideal for a stop-over. Facilities are basic but all the necessary things are there and good (such as the small but very comfortable pool and the beautiful garden), the owners are very kind and helpful. Overall a very good price-quality ratio! We stayed in the castle tower room (2 rooms on 2 floors of the tower) during a stop-over on our way to the South. The general facilities of the tower room and the hotel are basic, don't expect a luxury resort (but then again the price is also cheap). But what made this special was the atmosphere and the history of this bead and breakfast.... it is located on the estate of a little castle which was largely destroyed during the French Revolution. Part of the façade of the castle, 3 towers, was fortunately left intact. And it is in one of these towers that we stayed. Tthe tower itself already looks marvellous. Up a few steps was our room, and further up on a (narrow) spiral staircase the second room with toilet and a (comfortable) shower. The rooms are old and basic, but all the essential things function well! The small pool was very refreshing and comfortable. A beautiful green and large garden. Last but not least, the owners were super friendly and helpful, helping us out with various things, e.g. booking a table at one of the nearby restaurants. And who can say that he slept in a centuries-old castle tower 😀 . Overall a very good price-quality ratio, we definitely recommend!
− The window on the second floor of the tower was open from almost the floor, we blocked it with some chairs, but it would be good to secure this
