+ La Rustica and Luis the host was excellent. The house was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The host left us bread, apple juice, jam and coffee which was a lovely touch. Communication and directions were clear. We were visiting Puy du Fou and the location was very good. There was a lovely garden and covered area to sit in. The bed was very comfortable. − La Rustica was not easy to find and was accessed via a tight turn off a country road up through the very narrow entrance of a steep but short drive up to the parking spot. Drivers should take care. On entering the property a strong musty smell was immediately apparent. The downstairs lounge/dining room was a little dark and the kitchen was small and very old. Upstairs the bedroom was also small and has only a few shelves for storage. As it was growing dark outside I turned on the bedroom light which did not help. With very poor bedroom space and ineffective overhead lighting we had to open our cases in the small landing outside the bedroom. Contrary to the rest of the property, the bathroom was a suitable size with a good shower and brighter lighting. Luis had communicated helpfully before we arrived and when I met him that evening he was very personable and kindly offered to upgrade the bedroom lighting before the next day. Then he left as he was staying with a friend that night. When we retired to bed with the aircon set to low, a squealing noise was heard outside which disappeared when the aircon was turned off. I can only assume it was the aircon fan/compressor unit outside, so we left the aircon unit off. Sadly, La Rustica has broken a personal record as the first accommodation in Europe which I booked for two nights and stayed just the one.

+ Maison rénovée avec beaucoup de goût . Tres bien accueilli par Luis merci pour ses petites attentions (brioche et petit café)Proche du Puy du fou. Nous gardons cette adresse pour l'année prochaine. N'hésitez pas à y aller.
