+ We enjoyed our stay here and we were pleased to support the enterprising young couple who have refurbished the property. We slept well and the shower and toilet facilities were absolutely fine - we took towels, as advised. We really enjoyed our early morning walk down to the river and canal particularly when, on our return, the box full of breakfast goodies was waiting for us. We would definitely stay again We enjoyed our stay here and we were pleased to support the enterprising young couple who have refurbished the proper...

+ Very comfortable and clean, fresh bread, croissants, jam etc for breakfast. Fridge, kettle, coffee machine, nice towels, very comfortable bed Host was very welcoming.
− Very difficult to find, small signpost for chambre d'hote on the side road by the parking , no other signage and further out from St Valery sur Somme than we thought.

+ A perfect spot for an overnight stay with bikes near Saint Valerie sur Somme.
− It was a little further from Saint Valerie than I thought but that was my mistake for not paying attention, still only half an hour walk along the canal or ten minutes on the bike. Some soap and shampoo would have been helpful but that may normally be there.

+ ...such a sweet 'gites, full of charm and character in a very nice area of France (some amazing beeches). Very well priced given there is not too much on offer in this region, so was grateful for the oppertunity to reside here. A comfy bed and a lovely bedroom...just be mindful the bedroom, shower room and separate wc are in a loft conversion...!!! Especially if nipping to the look in the dark hours...!!!
− ...not that I 'didn't like, more for information so visitors are prepared. I needed to rely on my own towel, shampoo and soap. For an evening meal and the hamper breakfast (included), I had to use my own plate and 'cutting knife for the French stick provided. The wc is 'no paper' (or similar (which took me back to holidays in Greece 30 years ago...!!!). There is a downstairs dining/coffee making area, but no sink. So I ended up taking the kettle up to the bedroom so I could get water or wash up in the shower room....oh...and you are in the country...so be prepared for cockerals kicking off in the early hours (quite sweet actually....once you've Sussed what is going on). None of the above takes any enjoyment from the stay....it is just about being forewarned and prepared.
