+ Gorgeous old building, very nicely decorated and the grounds were kept tidy. The room was comfortable, and almost all signage was available in English. It's more like an Airbnb than a hotel with no staff, but as I am used to this and it was communicated very clearly, I had no issue with this. + It is a remarkably quiet and peaceful place, surprisingly located close to a busy road. But once you pass through the gates, it feels like entering a completely different world. We stayed for just one night, but it was truly an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the sauna, and the manor itself has a beautiful garden with fruit trees and even a magnificent cedar tree. One of the things that made this place particularly special was the feeling of having the property almost entirely to ourselves. You don't really see any staff around, which creates a very unique atmosphere. For us, this added to the charm and made the experience even more special. Whenever we had any questions, someone was always available and responsive via WhatsApp. It is a remarkably quiet and peaceful place, surprisingly located close to a busy road. + Very impressed with the hotel. Beautiful building, nice room, good breakfast and excellent value. Walkable into the centre of Vendome in about 25 minutes so good choice of restaurants locally. We would definitely come again.
− The TV in the room is a nightmare. it's impossible to just switch it on and watch TV, everything is on an app and you have to scan QR codes and give your email address, etc. I am not a technophobe (I work with computers every day) but the remote control was unfathomable. Even the simplest things such as turning the volume up have to be accessed through a menu. After the TV was switched off it continued to display a random picture and I had to drape a towel over it so we could sleep in darkness! (I also got hit on the head by a piece of wood falling from the toilet door as I closed it). But despite that we loved the hotel and will come back!

+ Surprising little manoir hidden along the road. Very nice style and nice rooms.
− The automatic door Lock system is a nightmare. There is no assistance no presence of staff so If you arrive late at the hotel and you struggle with the locks it is very stressful
