+ Location cannot be beat. Hands down. View from the room was spectacular. Parking was so easy and spacious. Room was huge, big bathroom, terrace. Access to walking trails was so easy from here. Worth every penny, for location alone. Fantastic Lavazza machine in the room. Mini fridge. Toilet is separate from bathroom, big foyer hallway in room. Location cannot be beat. Hands down. - The space felt like it has seen better days. Room was dusty with pieces of dust hanging off the wallpaper all over the room. Dusty carpets too. We just ignored 🙈 In the morning, breakfast was almost wiped out after huge tour groups came through ahead of us. No plates, glasses, and looked like a tornado blew through and left scraps of breads behind. Breakfast was anything but peaceful. Which is a shame since the dining room has great view. We didn’t do dinner but walking back in the evening the dining room was packed with those same tour groups. I can promise we would have not enjoyed that experience. Glad we dodged that, honestly. This all said, staff is fantastic and you can see do all they can to keep up with the groups. You can’t control how people treat spaces, sadly. The space felt like it has seen better days. + Location, views and convenience. The room was huge and very comfortable and I would stay again, even with the negatives listed below.
− Flies in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner were a real nuisance and quite off putting. They are also a hygiene issue with regards to the breakfast buffet and cutlery. Some staff members already appeared a little battle weary from their experience of dealing with guests in high season and it was only June! Obtaining an access code to enter the hotels complex was chaotic, I had to ask several times and then the code that I was given didn’t work , which was quite embarrassing with a long line of other cars behind us.

+ Great hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, nicely appointed bathrooms, very good restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. We hadn't made a reservation and they were wonderful in accommodating us. We had a two-story family room with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, which was fantastic for our foursome. The beds for our grown-up children were setup as a full bed, and within minutes the housekeeper came and split them into two twin beds; she was mesmerized when we tipped her -- clearly a different tipping culture. The location is unbeatable. It's the last structure before the marshes start. It's a quick walk to the Mont or if one is more inclined to using the free bus, the stop is right outside the hotel. Being able to drive the car right up to the hotel was a great plus. This means that you can walk back to the Mont after dinner and take pictures when the hordes of barbarians have left the the Mont. It was unforgettable to walk the ancient roads in the dark when no one was around.
− There's no a/c in the room - had we arrived during the heatwave, it would have been hard. It was cool when we were there, so not a problem. Also, the upstairs bedroom's windows don't open, so it wouldn't have been possible to create a breeze. There as an oscillating fan, which helped. We had a room with a view of the the Mont; however, there's a big thicket in the marshes between the hotel and the Mont that somewhat hides the view. We didn't spend that much time in the room, so not a problem. WiFi in the room was weak and spotty. It seems to be a common issue in France.
