+ From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away by this impressive property. Even though the photographs online make it look amazing, nothing quite prepares you for how impressive it is when you actually drive through the gravelled driveway and enter through the electric gates. The property, grounds and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We were warmly greeted by the owners, who were extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We were even offered a welcome drink — a lovely bottle of beer each, which was a fantastic touch and very much appreciated after our journey. Our double bedroom was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, with a huge en-suite bathroom featuring both a shower and a bath. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to enjoy the bath, but it was fantastic and really added to the feeling of luxury. We also had access to a lovely shared terrace, which was perfect on such a warm evening. We decided to enjoy a light dinner there with a glass of wine, simply relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. It was the perfect way to spend the evening. Breakfast the following morning was superb, with a wonderful selection of food and everything beautifully presented. We also enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast, which added a lovely social element to our stay. A huge amount of credit must go to the owners, whose hospitality, attention to detail and warm welcome made our stay so enjoyable. This is a beautiful property in stunning surroundings, with fantastic accommodation and an excellent breakfast. We would absolutely highly recommend staying here. + Everything! Except the heat - but that was not under the owners' control... Lovely old French house, sympathetically modernised. Comfortable room with its own terrace, although it was too hot to sit out there. Lovely grounds with an idyllic swimming pool - shame we didn't have swimming costumes. Superb breakfast in the garden under the shade of the trees was lovely. The owner speaks good English and has an interesting collection of old cars! Location is good very convenient for the N7.
− On a Tuesday night there was nowhere open to eat within walking distance so we had to drive into Moulins - but it was nice to see the town (despite the heat!)

+ We enjoyed all of our stay from the moment the proprietor greeted us and showed us around until we had to leave. Parking and easy access although finding the actual house was a little problematic - a clear sign at the start of the track by the tarmac road might help. The room was very well equipped and extremely comfortable and clean. There was a lovely large shower and copious amounts of hot water. The room had both tea and coffee facilities and delicious dark chocolate treats. There was a balcony with chairs, etc accessed from the landing outside the room. Our breakfast was excellent: croissant, bread, butter, yoghurt, milk, fruity granola, seeds, nuts, cold meats, local cheeses, fruit, tea/coffee, etc.
− There was nothing we didn’t like! Faultless.
