+ Reasonably well located, secure parking, good internet, pretty quiet.
− The process for getting the key was a major pain as you need to collect from elsewhere in town - roadworks and diversions made this harder and this turned into a 20 minute exercise. When leaving the exit process was also somewhere convoluted as you need the keys to get in and out of the facility, but you need to leave the keys in the facility (in a mailbox in another building). The apartment itself was cluttered, especially with baby facilities (toys, high chair, bath) which is useful if you have a child but not when you don't. The bedding (duvet and pillow cases) were 100% polyester which is unbelievably bad to sleep with and we were itching all over. The bed itself is a good size, if a little low to the ground, but it's jammed in the room and you can barely get around the end of it (there is less than 30cm clearance). There is also no kettle - so if you want coffee or tea you must boil water in a pan like it's the dark ages. Lastly the buildings are not in great shape (other buildings have their balconies propped up as the concrete is cracking) and there's a musty smell. So it's not bad bad, but it's also not a great place to stay.

− As others have reported. Obtaining access is a major issue. Until one has paid there was no indication that the key is remotely located at another address that, in typically very heavy traffic, is at least a 20 minute excursion. We were fortunate that a 'caretaker' was on site and was able to assist. Even departing the property is an issue as the key has to be left in a box on site, in another concrete 'block' AFTER using it to open the exit gate! The concrete blocks of apartments looked uncared for and streaked with staining. some of the balconies even being supported by external props to prevent them falling. Inside the building but before reaching the apartment it was very dark, felt old and dirty, smelt bad and lighting was inadequate and difficult to operate. The apartment itself was, in my opinion, in need of redecorating and servicing. The kitchen area was adequate but the quality of cutlery appeared to be very cheap and of poor quality and the internal lower shelf of the fridge was broken. The bedroom was not large and the 4 -post bed only just fitted in leaving about 25cm between the end and wall making access to the 'far' side almost impossible. I found the bed to be uncomfortable being very low to the ground with a very firm mattress, man-made bed linen, only one embroidered pillow per person. there were a large number of large flies in the rooms despite attempts to eradicate them. Marans itself appeared rather industrial with a large number of huge trucks featured among the traffic that was jamming the main roads.
