− The apartment itself had serious heating issues during our winter stay. Even though two adults tried all available settings on the system, the apartment remained uncomfortably cold throughout the stay. Our children had to sleep fully dressed because it was too cold, and we could not shower or wash because the bathroom was also very cold. We contacted the host several times over a period of few hours to explain that the apartment was cold, but the issue was not resolved and we did not receive clear, practical help on how to make the place warm. We ended up staying the night only because it was already late and we could not find any reasonable alternative accommodation at that hour, and neither the host nor Booking provided real, effective assistance. In addition, the apartment appears to be a converted street warehouse, which you enter directly from sidewalk, with poor insulation, which likely contributed to the cold and made it difficult to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. Functional heating and adequate insulation are, in our opinion, basic requirements for accommodation in this season, and for this reason the apartment did not meet our expectations or the description on the listing. Window curtains had to be shut as pedestrians were walking directly by the window and could see inside. The host stopped responding to our problems. Now they blame us for not turning the heating on properly. Even in rare possibility for that to be true, shouldn't the host help in person or at least offer instructions? When we unsuccessfully tried to warm the place and switched the stove, we lost electricity twice. The electric installation is not designed to operate at that load. We believe that this apartment is not suitable for winter stay. Parking is not located next to the apartment, but a few minutes' walk away. This complicated loading and unloading our luggage. Neighbors asked us to move the car even if just stopped to unload the luggage.

− - The ventilation system produced extremely loud noise, making it impossible to stay. I had to sleep with headphones on and move to another property the next day—yet no refund was provided. - The host made no effort to resolve the issue. - The "secure parking" was far from the property, which was inconvenient. - While the property itself was nice, these issues made our travel experience terrible. The worst part is that the host kept the payment for the 5-day stay despite the circumstances. - Booking.com lacks proper customer service, so I would strongly advise against booking with this host.
