+ The food served in the restaurant alone is worth booking one of the hotel rooms in La Vallée. The cook is really exceptionally good. The hotel room is large with a good bed, shower, small terrace on the back side. We were cycling along the ViaRhôna and cycling guests are catered for with a bicycle shed, charging station, air pump and tools. As other guests have observed, it is close to a busy railway, but the trains (quite a few actually) did not bother us, not even at night. You just notice a few of them and sleep further. The breakfast was good as well, with really good local pain and viennoiseries, scrambled eggs, fruit juice, jams and coffee. + When arriving at the hotel we noted with great disappointment that the restaurant was closed. Nobody was there to take care and we were checked in by email exchange. Email exchange was friendly and contained all information that was needed. I booked to hotel to enjoy the restaurant and the nice terrasse after a long cycling day. We had to go for dinner by bike again. The room was OK, unfortunately the train runs throughout the whole night. In the shower the water is overflooding the bathroom while taking a shower. In the morning staff served some coffee and nobody asked if we would want breakfast. Staff was friendly but not more / very impersonal.
