+ Well, what a gem of a place. A stunning architectural delight and Long Crendon Manor was an absolute pleasure to stay in. The whole place was just beautiful. The bed was so comfortable, the bedroom was huge, lovely hot water and we didn't want to leave!! The grounds were immaculate with far reaching views. Tim, who owns the Manor (well Sue, his wife does), met us and showed us around - a consummate host! It was a shame we didn't get to meet Sue. Tim cooked and served the best breakfast, with every bit home cooked and locally sourced. It was lovely to be sat in the dining hall at the long table with other guests (something we've not done before - we're usually sat at different tables), and we all got involved with other conversations. We were even told a superb ghost story by Tim, which was well received by everyone :) The beautiful St Bernard's, Molly and Marmaduke, were wonderful and so well behaved. Well, what a gem of a place. + Fantastic breakfast and wonderful grounds. Amazing history and you can feel it's a loved building that has seen so many things over centuries. If you like old buildings then visit
− You do need to make a few allowances for it being 500 years old. Not that it's a dislike but it may make it not suitable for everyone some steep stairs and doors etc

+ A truly exceptional place - steeped in history! Very comfortable spacious bedroom + dressing room and lovely bathroom. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, a very warm welcome from our host and a delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back.
− I can't think of anything - except perhaps that I couldn't work out the shower temperature control !

+ Tim and Mrs Tim are fantastic hosts, the manor is beautiful and the owners are so helpful and attentive. You really feel like you're visiting a stately home without the ropes. The house is so peaceful and relaxing its a real gem. There are plenty of nighttime options near buy to enjoy a drink or food. Don't eat too much though as you don't want to spoil your appetite for breakfast in the morning. It was lovely everything for breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared and sourced locally or homemade. Thank you Tim & Mrs Tim for a fabulous stay, say hello to the dogs.
− That we couldn't stay longer.
