- Property is run like an hotel, NOT as a relaxing, peaceful, equipped, private, comfortable long holiday let that I booked it for based on the description on both their site, on Booking.Com. During our stay of 10 nights, there was a daily stream of guests coming, all made excessive noise, kids running around, banging doors early am which disturbed my sleep, early AM, PM, noise could be heard over the top of our TV, as well as shared usage of the washing machines, often unavailable when needed, a tiny washing line often occupied with bedding from other guests, the noise from kids, family in the house below. The property, grounds were always occupied by the owners, guests, not as I'd expected by the description "Guest access, The accommodation is entire and private", and "is completely separate from our home". In my opinion this shared home set up does not work for a relaxing, private holiday, The "basic" kitchen equipment was exactly that. When we asked the owner for a shelf, trivet to be able to use the oven to cook meals, we were told there wasn't 1, given just another Pyrex dish. In the description it states "microwave oven", and separately written "oven". There was only one dual oven, which meant that I was unable to cook a roast dinner in one go, in fact it took me 3 days to achieve this, the settings were extremely difficult to gauge so my lasagne, other dishes were spoilt or food wasn't cooked enough as was in wattage, not usual celsius, fahrenheit, so making meals in a timely way was impossible. 0 instruction manual supplied, viewed operation on YouTube, there wasn't hairdryer, tumble dryer, wardrobe, as the drawers in main bedroom were occupied with an iron, ironing board, blankets, no storage space for clothes, no freezer inside the rental, only chest freezer outside with owners foods in.
